The Freedom Slaves project started at high school in 2005 as a Heavy Metal cover band, covering bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, and others alike.
In 2007, when the first singer Francesco Lavaroni exited the band, with new found Andrea Ferrini, they felt the need to move towards the composition of their own songs, this culminated at the end of the same year in the release of a 4 track Demo,"Light & Shadow", well received by the music critics.
With these songs they took place in locals festivals like SammardenchiaRock, Spilimbergomusica, Rock'n'River and outside Friuli at the IcedTears Fest and the MusicVillage at Montecampione.
In 2010, Andrea left, and once again they were looking for a singer. They found Daniel Marco Celotti, and while playing various live gigs around the region, like PovoRock, Bloodshed Night, Alpenrock Fest and Musicalmente, they started writing what will become the first full length album.
In August 2011 they started recording 9 tracks in their home studio.
After 6 months of recording, mixing and mastering, Freedom Slaves released on the 18th of February the homonymous album.
A mix of the different musical influences of the different band members defines what can be a cross between Classic and Modern Rock, while having a Progressive side to it as well.
